comparisons
- 「Aの方はBより(ADJECTIVE)。」 means “A is more (ADJECTIVE) than B.”
- 「N1とN2とN3。。。の中でN1が一番(ADJECTIVE)。」 means “Within the group N1, N2, N3, …, N1 is the most (ADJECTIVE).”
avoiding repetition
- 「の」 can replace a noun that has already been used in conversation
